Richard is a Senior Consultant at ACIL Tasman. He has a PhD in Applied Statistics. Richard has a strong track record in quantitative research and analysis and in the presentation of complex analysis in well-written reports.


Richard has eight years’ experience in undertaking various market studies of the Australian NEM, Singapore NEMS and Philippine WESM including long term market outlooks, short-term, detailed scenario modelling and due diligence using ACIL Tasman’s in-house market model, PowerMark.


Richard specialises in electricity market due diligence for acquisitions and greenfield projects and has acted as market adviser in due diligence studies of the Australian, Singapore and Philippine electricity markets for the acquisition of existing assets, the privatisation of assets, as well as the development of new entrant projects, including the preparation of bankable market projection reports. Recent examples include:
