Rowena Hodges
Consultant
Rowena Hodges is a consultant in ACIL Tasman's Canberra office. She provides economic analysis and project management to projects across a range of industries.
Rowena has a breadth of industry experience, with a focus on agribusiness and social economics. Projects she has been involved with at ACIL Tasman include:
- cost effectiveness modelling
- cost benefit analyses
- program evaluations, including effectiveness, appropriateness and efficiency reviews
- economic impact statements
- market and industry reports
- economic and social valuation of resources
- survey design and execution
Before joining ACIL Tasman in 2006, Rowena spent four years in the Australian Government Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources (DITR). At DITR, Rowena was an Investment Manager for agribusiness projects within Invest Australia. Across all sectors, Rowena's key roles and responsibilities as an investment manager included client management for major and strategic agribusiness investments in Australia.
Prior to her role at Invest Australia, Rowena worked as an economic analyst in the Department. A key project in this area involved co-authoring a paper on innovation, economic growth, and vocational education and training. This report was published by NCVER in Vocational education and training and innovation. Rowena also conducted a general analysis of ‘poverty traps’ in the Australian labour force.
Rowena holds a Bachelor of Economics/Arts degree from the Australian National University (2002) (including studies in health economics, public economics, and resource and environmental economics) and a Diploma of Project Management as recognised by the Australian College of Project Management (2006).
