ACIL Tasman is now a sponsor of Australia on the Map: 1606-2006. This
is a not for profit organization that is arranging a celebration of
the many mariners who (whether by accident or design) charted our coasts
– and put “Australia on the Map”.
One such event will be the re-enactment of the circumnavigation of
Australia by a replica of the Duyfken, the ship in which Willem Janszoon
first charted part of the Australian coast. For more information about
AOTM, or about how to register an event, click here
to be redirected to their website.
The sponsorship involves office space and support in Canberra for the
National Secretariat of Australia on the Map.
