Gas Developments
ACIL Tasman has prepared assessments
of the implications of the proposed PNG Gas Project
for the economy of Papua New Guinea. These studies
assessed the outlook for capital investment in the
oil and gas sector, annual recurrent expenditure,
value added, employment, government revenue and
royalties payable to landowners under different
development scenarios (export only, export plus
limited in-country gas development, export plus
extensive in-country gas development) against a
base scenario with no development of PNG gas resources.
