Philip Roberts joined
ACIL Tasman in June 2007. He has worked
on a variety of projects ranging across
infrastructure, Indigenous economic
development and training, local government
reform, utilities regulation and economic
analysis of mining projects. This work
has required wide-ranging consultation
and the co-ordination of teams delivering
the full range of ACIL Tasman expertise
across Australia to Northern Territory
clients.
He previously worked at Northern Territory
Treasury where he provided analysis
and advice on business, governance and
financial matters for commercial projects
and other government activities in the
Northern Territory. In this role Philip
worked with Government Owned Corporations
and Government Business Divisions such
as Power and Water Corporation (PWC),
Darwin Port Corporation and Territory
Insurance Office.
Prior to moving to Darwin, Philip worked
with JP Morgan and Chase Manhattan Bank
in Sydney, New York and London over
a period of 16 years. His roles with
the bank included economic analysis
and advice, corporate and investment
banking and commodity trading.
Philip has a Bachelor of Economics (Honours)
and Masters Degrees in Applied Finance
and Accounting. He is a Graduate of
the Australian Institute of Company
Directors (GAICD) and is currently completing
his Certified Practising Accountant
(CPA) professional qualification.
