Lynne Gallagher has over twenty years experience as a consultant, senior executive in the public sector, private corporations and not-for profit organizations.

In the private sector Lynne has worked has worked at the highest level with CEOs including the Committee for Sydney on major assignments such as Sydney as a global city project and the linkages between Sydney and NSW regions. Lynne has undertaken strategic consulting projects in property funds management, agribusiness, competition policy, transport, and energy sectors and concerning water reforms in NSW. Lynne has had a number of roles representing industry with government including in her current position of Chair of the NSW Government AgStart Advisory Board.

In the government sector Lynne played a key leadership role in many policies and programs including health and ageing funding reforms, housing reform and in particular community housing models, urban and regional development, indigenous economic development, taxation reform, labour market, including a review of the Commonwealth Employment Service operational management and alignment with government policy. From 1991 to 1994 Lynne was a member of numerous Council of Australian Government Working Groups, reporting directly to the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Premiers. In 2004 Lynne was appointed by the Northern Territory Government as a member of its Indigenous Economic Development TaskForce.
